Our Invitation:

What are our responsibilities to the Earth and to our other-than-human kin? How do our relationships to the lands we visit or call home directly impact our physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being?

In this free teaching, we’ll explore the critical role of place in our sense of happiness and belonging. Through teaching, experiential practice, and a bit of Q&A, we’ll consider what it means to inhabit an ethic of sacred responsibility in the specific and uniquely challenged lands you call home.

This teaching will introduce material that will be explored at greater depth in Loving the Earth, which opens April 27. The approach to land and belonging will bring directness and heart to the harsh realities of settler-colonialism, ongoing displacement, and war. Those with no prior framework for consciously naming and navigating our connection to land and place are all warmly welcome.

We are of the land, a manifestation of the Earth. Every moment of our lives unfolds in a specifically magical, holy, and animate place.
