About this event

Many healing modalities focus on the individual: the psyche, the self, the personal. Ancestral Lineage Healing expands the frame by placing focus on the greater context of lineage, culture, and land.

This approach to ancestral healing engages inherited trauma, cultural rupture, and the living presence of the dead; not as metaphor, but as relationship. Through skillful ritual practice and ethical frameworks, practitioners help clients to draw on the support of their living ancestors to transform generational burdens into sources of resilience, guidance, and blessing. Whether you’re drawn to be the client, the practitioner, or a bit of both, this call will have something for you.

In this free 90 minute teaching and conversation, you’ll hear from three practitioners who first came to lineage healing work as students and later completed the practitioner training. They’ll share what it’s like to engage in ancestral healing practices, what the training involves, and how becoming practitioners has informed their lives and service. You’ll also hear from Ancestral Medicine Founder and Director, Daniel Foor, authored of the book Ancestral Medicine, and creator/lead teacher of the Ancestral Healing Practitioner Training.

Whether you’re considering working with a practitioner or wondering about applying for the training yourself, this talk will offer a grounded look at what the work asks of us and how we hold the training process at Ancestral Medicine. You’re also welcome to submit questions ahead of time. While we may not answer every individual question, we will speak to the themes that arise.

Who is this event for?

People considering becoming practitioners.
Therapists, holistic healers, rituals, change makers, and other helping professionals who feel called to expand their work will learn about our training program. Our upcoming cohort places special emphasis on psychology and the psyche, offering ways to integrate ancestral healing, inherited trauma, and cultural repair work into therapeutic practice. If you’re curious about bringing lineage healing into your work, this conversation will offer a window into what that path can look like.

People considering working with an ancestral healing practitioner.
If you’ve been curious about working with a practitioner, but you aren’t sure what to expect, this conversation will offer a clearer picture. We’ll talk about what actually happens in sessions, what kinds of changes session work supports, and how to find a practitioner who feels like the right fit.
