Everyone has loving and wise ancestors, and by reaching out for their support we access tremendous vitality for personal and family healing. In addition to supporting repairs with living family, our ancestors encourage healthy self-esteem and help us to clarify our destiny, relationships, and work in the world.

Participants will be introduced to an inclusive, heart-centered framework for relating safely and directly with family ancestors, both helpful guides and the dead in need of assistance. We’ll also touch on the implications of ancestral work for cultural healing (e.g., sexism, racism, colonialism) and the importance of including much older ancestors in our approach to ancestor reverence. There will be plenty of time for dialogue and lively discussion. The material presented will draw in part from Daniel’s book Ancestral Medicine: Rituals for Personal and Family Healing. Daniel will also be guiding a three-day immersion in ancestral healing, Fri-Sun, April 12-14 in Melbourne (Event Page FB Event Page).

Event is $15 AUD, paid in advance (on this page) or at the door. Please be advised that this event may sell out. Location has convenient street parking, and is wheelchair accessible.

We acknowledge this event is taking place in the ancestral lands of the Wurundjeri People, one part of the larger Kulin Nation. With respect to the unhealed history of settler-colonialism and ongoing present-day challenges, payment is optional for all Indigenous Australians at this talk or the ancestral healing intensive in the following days.
