Hi , Welcome to Ancestral Lineage Healing Part One!
This course is led by Dr. Daniel Foor and follows the lineage healing method developed through trainings and sessions, 2005 to present, and featured in Ancestral Medicine: Rituals for Personal and Family Healing. Part One runs from November 28, 2019 – January 20, 2020 with new lessons released on Thursday mornings every 1-2 weeks (calendar here).
This course can be understood as a companion to the lineage healing work at the heart of the book. Part One of the course draws strongly from Chapters One to Six. Having a copy of the book is supportive, however, relevant PDF excerpts will accompany each lesson.
Elements of the Course
Instructional Videos. Lessons begin with an instructional video at the top of the lesson’s main page, providing the main content and guided exercises for of each lesson (streaming only). Each lesson video includes optional closed captioning.
Audio & Transcript Files. If you prefer to listen or read rather than engage the lesson videos, both mp3 audio and pdf transcript links are included in each lesson.
Readings and Resources. Each lesson includes readings (found on the main lesson page) to deepen the learning for that lesson. Further supplemental readings and resources are found below the main content area in each lesson.
Questions for Reflection & Homework Invitations. Each lesson includes questions to think about, as well as “homework” suggestion suggestions for working with the week’s material.
Drum Recordings. For those who like drumming in the background for the guided exercises, four options are available in the sidebar. These open in a new browser window with volume adjustment controls and can also be downloaded.
Live Video Conferences. Daniel will host a 75-minute live support/Q&A session for every lesson during Part One (seven total) and another seven during Part Two. We use the free Zoom platform. The first part of each live call will be Q&A with Daniel, and then we will break into small groups for personal connection with other participants. Schedule, link, recordings and transcripts (posted within a few days) are under Live Calls in the main menu and sidebar.
FAQ and Ask Daniel. To submit a question to Daniel about course content, there is an Ask Daniel form in the sidebar. There is additionally an FAQ page (in the sidebar and main menu), which will be updated with Daniel’s answers to common questions that come up throughout the course.
Private Facebook Group. The link to this optional discussion space will be forthcoming in the main menu before the course begins. Once set up, you can request access and we’ll get you in there right away.
Map and Connect. Optionally add your location and contact information if you like to the Participant Map to connect with those near you (main menu).
Troubleshooting Page. We’ve got you! If you have any difficulty with the tech things around the course, please see the troubleshooting page, linked in the sidebar and under the FAQ in the main menu.
When you have covered each lesson’s material, you can select Mark Complete at the bottom of main lesson page to track your progress. Once released, you may engage with any of the lessons at any time. A course content overview with release dates is included at the bottom of the page, and a progress bar can be found at the top of the sidebar.
You have lifetime access to the course, although the Ask Daniel function and Facebook group will be closed shortly after the course ends (with an invitation to join a wider community Facebook group).
Thanks all for being here. We want your experience to be really great, so please do message us at email@example.com with any questions or concerns about the course.[/student]
